Active Directory Replication Commads
Check Replication Status and provides a summary of replication across all DCs.
repadmin /replsummary
Check Replication Partners of a DC and show the last replication attempt and status.
repadmin /showrepl
Save output in CSV
repadmin /showrepl * /csv >showrepl.csv
Forces replication across all DCs in the forest.
repadmin /syncall /APeD
Force Replication to a Specific DC
repadmin /replicate <DestinationDC> <SourceDC> <NamingContext>
Example
repadmin /replicate DC1 DC2 "DC=rs,DC=local"
Monitor DC Replication Status Using PowerShell (Lists AD replication failures)
Get-ADReplicationFailure -Target * | Format-Table Server, FirstFailureTime, FailureCount
Forces replication across all DCs in the forest. (In Detail)
repadmin /syncall /APeD
Breakdown of /APeD Switches
/A (All Partitions)
Replicates all directory partitions, including:
Domain partition (user, group, computer objects)
Configuration partition (forest-wide configuration settings)
Schema partition (schema definitions for AD objects)
Application partitions (like DNS zones, if applicable)
/P (Push Changes Immediately)
Forces the source DC to push changes to all its replication partners immediately, instead of waiting for the normal replication cycle.
/e (Enterprise-Wide Replication)
Ensures that replication occurs across sites, not just within the same site.
Without this switch, replication would be limited to DCs in the same site.
/D (Distinguished Name Display)
Displays the distinguished names (DN) of the directory partitions being replicated, making it easier to track.
Diagnostic Commands
Runs a test for replication issues.
dcdiag /test:replications
